My name’s Jenni, and I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. As an adult, I’m often asked why I write, and I reply ‘because I do’. I couldn’t imagine life without words. They fascinate me. You can create new worlds, create characters, you can inspire people, you can make people laugh, make them cry, make them forget about their own life… It’s all rather magical.

My heart lies in 2 things – travelling, and history, and this blog is a beautiful little combination of both of those. When I visit somewhere new, no matter how exotic or mundane, I always ask myself the same thing – what was here first? What did this place used to be, what stories does it have to tell and how can I tell them?

After all, why travel if you’re not going to learn anything new?
